Why a pool ceiling needs a different specification
Condensation
Warm, chlorinated air stains, sags and corrodes conventional ceilings. NeviTec's non-porous PVC membrane doesn't absorb the pool hall atmosphere.
Reverberation
Water, tile and glass reflect sound back into the room. An acoustic backer controls it without changing the finish.
The joint line
Joints and fixings are where pool ceilings fail first. Ours are tensioned seamless, edge to edge.

Will a stretch ceiling cope with a chlorinated pool environment?
Yes. NeviTec's PVC stretch membrane is non-porous and manufactured to resist moisture, so it doesn't absorb the humid, chlorinated air that causes conventional plasterboard ceilings to stain and sag over time.
Can the ceiling include hygienic or antibacterial treatment?
Yes. NeviTec's Antiseptic / BioPruf range is treated to resist mould, fungus and bacteria, which makes it a common specification for hydrotherapy pools, healthcare pools and high-occupancy leisure facilities.
How is lighting integrated into a pool ceiling without visible fittings?
NeviTec's NT100 light panel system delivers uniform, shadow-free illumination across the whole ceiling plane rather than through individual downlights, and pairs with our translucent membrane for a lit, seamless finish. The IP and zone rating is confirmed at specification stage for each pool layout.
Does a pool ceiling need acoustic treatment as well as moisture resistance?
In most commercial and hospitality pools, yes — hard water, tile and glass surfaces create heavy reverberation. A micro-perforated acoustic backer behind the stretch membrane addresses this without changing the visual finish.
